Invariably I see chipmunks most of the times I go for a hike in the mountains. They are a creature that is just amusing to watch as they run around stuffing their cheeks with seeds and nuts. They are busy making a hoard for surviving winter. The bell on this piece represents the hoard and includes many of the natural things they collect. In watching chipmunks I am reminded to take joy in my work and to store some things up for the future.
