Ahh…the maligned Armadillo. This common little creature doesn’t get much respect, mostly due its ability to make a mess of yards and gardens. However, it plays an important role in its habitat. It reminds me that even the most misunderstood of us has something to contribute and a role to play in making a life-giving place. I made this life-size armadillo as a part of a larger commission for the Japan-American Society of Dallas/Ft. Worth. I was allowed to make it a separate edition so that the members of the committee could purchase a reminder of the event, and to share with whomever else would like one.
