A couple from Colorado came to a show and had been looking at my work for a while. They had a little nook for a piece and asked if I would make something specifically for it. I went to their home to see the space and found that much of the other art and décor in their mountain home was Asian or had that flair. I developed the idea of river otters chasing trout on an Asian style gong as a way of pulling those elements together in one piece. They agreed to let me make it into an edition so that others could enjoy owning the work. I love river otters. When I see them it reminds me that God expects me to find joy and peace in what I have. They seem to have so much fun and definately do not take things too seriously. I wish I was more like they are.
