A good friend commissioned this piece as an anniversary gift to his wife. They agreed to let me make it an edition so it could be shared.

Harbor seals have a special significance for her. She grew up on the coast of Washington state. During difficult times in her youth she would walk the beach and often be kept company by the seals. They were a source of comfort. It’s compelling to me that many people (myself included) have felt comforted by the presence of wild animals. There are of course some reasonable exceptions such as grizzly bears and rattle snakes! I think it’s a gift from God.
